ΚΕΡΚΥΡΑ: Νομικά κατά της ΔΕΥΑΚ στο Βορρά στρέφεται Βέλγος – ιδιοκτήτης κατοικίας που αιμορραγεί οικονομικά εξαιτίας βλαβών

Μια σειρά προβλημάτων που έχουν προκληθεί στην περιούσια του, στο σπίτι που αγόρασε στην βόρεια Κέρκυρα στο Καλάμι στο 2019 και που μισθώνει σε τουρίστες, φέρνει στη δημοσιότητα μέσω του @kerkyrasimera ο Βέλγος JEROME DEUSON. Ο ίδιος, δηλώνει πως θα στραφεί νομικά εναντίον της ΔΕΥΑΚ στον Βορρά, καθώς έχουν προκύψει ένα σορό προβλήματα υπαιτιότητας του δήμου και της Επιχείρησης τα οποία αφενός καλείται να λύσει ο ίδιος, αφετέρου πληρώνει βλάβες και αποζημιώσεις στους τουρίστες για παροχές που δεν δύναται ο ίδιος να τους προσφέρει, όπως το νερό. Μάλιστα, προέκυψε και πρόβλημα υγείας με έναν από τους ενοίκους, εξαιτίας της χρήσης νερού που οι ίδιοι πίστευαν πως είναι πόσιμο. Οι προσπάθειές του και οι οχλήσεις του προς τον Δήμο Βόρειας Κέρκυρας ήταν πολλές, ωστόσο έπεφτε πάνω στη συνθήκη της έλλειψης προσωπικού, σαν να έπρεπε ο ίδιος να λύσει το πρόβλημα, δηλώνει μεταξύ των άλλων. Καταλήγοντας, ο κ. DEUSON δηλώνει πως το θέμα δεν θα το αφήσει έτσι και θα προσλάβει άμεσα δικηγόρο προκειμένου να λύσει το πρόβλημά του και να αποζημιωθεί για όλα όσα έχει υποστεί εξαιτίας της μη αποκατάστασης βλαβών που προκύπτουν στο δίκτυο ύδρευσης.

Τέλος, ανέφερε πως το σπίτι έγινε και εστία φιδιών, λόγω των κυβικών νερού που χάνονται από την βλάβη.

Dear people at Corfu Today,

My name is Jérôme Deuson, I from Belgium but I am the owner of a house in Loustri (Kalami) in Kerkyra since 2019. The house is on rental (www.seahorse-villa.com) mostly to families. I don’t live on the island but I take a perfect care of the house all year long. The house has good water installation (with 2 times 5.000 liters tanker). Since I bought the house back in 2019, the water cuts problem has become worse and worse.

For the last 10 days my house has no water and I have had to reimburse my guests as they were not able to properly enjoy their stay on the island in these conditions. The situation is the same in Loustri for all the neighbors.

People can’t flush the toilet, take a normal shower or simply use water for cooking. Some guests filled a plastic bottle with water from the pool to clean some of the kitchen’s areas but one of their kid thought it was drinkable water. As he result, the kid had a severe case of diarrhea.

Last year I had to pay for a service that never do anything for the people of the island, more than 2.700€ of water was paid by me even if I really doubt that this was really consumed in the end.

More about DEYAK … :

For over 2 years I also had a puncture in the Deyak pipes running at the back of my house with water escaping from it. I duly noticed DEYAK more than 8 times in their Acharavi office where someone almost told me I could go complain somewhere else. All this lost water was not of their concern as they were not interested in fixing anything. They mentioned to me that they only have one plumber for the North of the island. As if I was responsible for their incompetency for finding good people to be hired. The consequence of the problem is that the back of my house was infested with snakes because of the permanent water leaking.

Attached to this email are photo proving I saw people filling fake reports and never did anything.

In the end I fixed a DEYAK matter myself even though it was not my responsibility.

The Deyak behavior :
The people at DEYAK deliberately don’t matter talking to the inhabitants about the water cuts situation in my area. They are arrogant on the phone, they even hang off claiming they don’t understand, even when you speak extremely slowly.

A shame for the island :

This is a European island which’s economy is based on tourism. But the water service is worse than a third world country.

I pay amazing amounts of taxes to Corfu (more than 20% on any incomes from the travelers), astronomical electricity bills, notary fees, lawyers, I… I participate in the good economy of Greece and I can’t understand how nobody on the island is doing anything to alert the media and the mayor office about this.

I am not trying to alert local authorities and media about only because I lose money, I am doing this because I love and respect the island. I feel like it’s a jewel ruined by people like Deyak. Every year Corfu is losing tourists’ confidence because of trouble like this. And despite all my effort and dedication in trying to participate in the local economy, I feel angry. Really angry.

I don’t intend to let things go like this and I will press charges against DEYAK and the city of Corfu for negligence, sanitary issues and non-assistance to person in danger in case a fire happens from this coming Wednesday at a Corfu central police station. I also intend to take a lawyer and bring the matter to him. If there’s one thing I learned from my life : don’t push people too far, they might come back right at you.
