Corfu: Almost 800 people get vaccinated daily at the Mega Vaccination Center of Corfu

In the past few days, the vaccination process has risen immensely. Vaccinations take place in the Mega Vaccination Center of Corfu (Μέγα Εμβολιαστικό Κέντρο Κέρκυρας) which is hosted at the National Sports Center of Corfu.
More precisely, in order to accelerate the vaccination process in the island of Corfu, all the Pfizer vaccines are offered there and not in the General Hospital of Corfu. The decongestion of the situation in the hospital during these trying times is vital and thanks to this decision the attendance of the citizens who wish to get vaccinated has increased.
According to statements by the vice president of the Medical Association of Corfu, Angelos Spyrou, on the local channel of Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT), everything went smoothly yesterday. He also stated that the National Sports Center will continue to operate as a vaccination center for at least another month, thus receiving a time extension. The negative aspect of the situation is that seven people from the medical staff who had come to Corfu for about a month are expected to leave promptly.
At the same time, he noted that the daily vaccinations are around 1200, taking into account those that take place in the General Hospital of Corfu as well as the Health Centers of Corfu.
